My Weekend

I've had a really good weekend so I thought I'd tell you all about it :)

Friday I came back on the train and this time I had my friend Callum with me for part of the journey because he was going back home to Manchester, so that was nice to have some company! Then in the evening I met up with Loz for a drink which was really cool to catch up properly and tell her all about uni stuff. Also got a glimpse of Nami's new hair colour too cos she was with her mates in the same pub!

Saturday at work was actually a bit pants cos I wasn't feeling too good, it's weird cos I'm hardly ever ill but at the moment I keep getting annoying things like headaches and sore throats :( It didn't help that our office was aboslutely freezing cold, turns out the air conditioning was still on, come on, it's winter now!!! Then in the evening at first I didn't feel like going out but I got persuaded that it would make me feel better! So we went into Cardiff which we haven't done properly yet. Ended up going to the club that the uni takes us to on Mondays anyway! But it was a good night except I seem to never learn and I wore heals so my feet were hurting quite a bit! But in the club it was really good because they had fireworks on the platforms, very exciting! When we got back me, Polly and Danielle ended up chatting again untill about 4.30am and then we finally went to bed.

Sunday, managed to get myself up so I could try out this church that I've been meaning to go to! Was extremely tired but I made myself get up! They have a free bus that goes from the uni to the church which leaves at 9.45am, too early for me! was quite scary going to a church where you don't know anyone! Anyway, it's a very multi-cultural church and quite big, I'm not good with estimating numbers so I won't guess! It was usual thing, praise and worship and they was a lot of prophesying, then preaching, then a few more songs. I think it must be quite a wealthy church, the building is very nice, and they have a posh piano on stage! Also I noticed they have these little screens which I guessed had the words and chords for the worship team, very modern! Anyway, when the service ended I sat there thinking 'ok what now...' but I was so thankful because this young lady called Lydia who was sat quite far a way from me came straight over to introduce herself. She then introduced me to some other students, a couple who I recognised from my uni. met some really nice students and a couple of girls who are from Birstol too! They have once a month a free student lunch which was goooood! Moroccan chicken, with couscous and vegetables and then chocolate angel delight mmmmmm.

Then in the evening me, Danielle, Polly and some guys called Luke and Ben wnet to a fireworks display in the local town Pontypridd. It was actually really good, was a round table event. Polly made a little video if you wana have a look... POLLY'S VIDEO!!! grrr, was gona put a photo here too but it's being annoying!
