I've got a new computer!!!

Yes, I have bought my own computer and now I have no money... but it's worth it and I need it desperately. Seriously, if you had been on our old one the difference is sooooooooo amazing!

Anyway, for all you computer experts I have a question: When I rip music onto my library from a cd in media player why does all the music go crackly when I play it after and only goes back to normal when I restart the computer???? Is there a simple answer or is there something wrong?

    Might be your speakers/sound card.

Or is it just the newly burnt songs which crackle?

Did you scan them for viruses before saving them to the comp? Depends also whether the sound card is built into the motherboard or is seperate. If all is well when you reboot would suggest system overload. Or possibly media player is not setup correctly. I take it, it is MP3s you are playing and not WMA! Ensure even with new computers you go to the windows update site and download latest software.
